      台湾海峡作为连接中国东海和南海的重要通道,其悬浮体和沉积物的来源和输运格局非常复杂。2005年4-5月利用带有Seapoint浊度传感器和荧光传感器的SD204型CTD对台湾海峡西南部海域的悬浮体特性进行了综合调查,并采集了底层沉积物。结果表明,台湾海峡西南部水体和悬浮体主要来源于粤东沿岸流、韩江冲淡水、九龙江冲淡水、粤东-闽南上升流及台湾海峡混合水。沉积物主要以砂为主,平均粒径为-0.98~6.96 Φ,分选系数为0.44-4.22,总有机碳(TOC)、总氮(TN)含量较低;粒径趋势分析结果表明,沉积物输运表现为由岸向海输运,并且在汕尾外部海域、南澳岛东南部海域附近形成汇聚区,其特征表现为沉积物C/N较高;韩江入海沉积物向南输运至南澳岛南部海域受外海高盐水体入侵的顶托而转向东北方向输运。

      The Taiwan Strait is a narrow passage connecting the broad and shallow East China Sea to the much deeper South China Sea, and the sources and transport processes of suspended matter and surfacial sediments are very complicated. The comprehensive investigations were carried out in the southwest Taiwan Strait during April-May 2005 to examine the sources and transport of suspended matter and surfacial sediments using SD204 CTD equipped with Seapoint Turbidity and Fluorescence sensors. Out data witnessed that the water bodies and suspended matters originated from coast current along eastern coast in Guangdong, diluted water from Hanjiang River and Jiulongjiang River, upwelling and mixed water of Taiwan Strait. Sediments in the southwest Taiwan Strait is dominated by sand with the mean grain-size of -0.98~6.96 Φ and sort coefficient of 0.44-4.22, and the contents of total organic carbon (TOC) and total nitrogen (TN) were very low. The surfacial sediments transported seaward, and two sink centers with high ratios of C/N were formed at the outer Shanwei sea area and southeast Nan Ao Island because the seaward transport sediments were jacked by upwelling and intrusive water with high salinity. The sediment discharged from Hanjiang River mainly transported southward through the channel at southwest of Nan Ao Island, and altered northeastward because of the intrusion of high salinity water at southern Nan Ao Island sea area.
